Maddie Ball
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
I graduated from Bournemouth University in 2020 with a BSc in Sports Therapy. Having enjoyed my undergraduate degree so much I wanted to further my knowledge in sports rehabilitation and strength training. This lead me to completing my masters degree in Strength, Conditioning and Rehabilitation in the September of 2021. Outside of Total Therapy I am sports therapist for Dorset FA’s “Girls Emerging Talent Centre”. I am proud to be involved in a project driving the importance of girls football development.
Why Did I Become a Sports Therapist?
From a young age I have been a keen netball player and loved all types of sport. Having sustained a few injuries myself, I know how disappointing an injury can be for an athlete. There are different modalities I may use for example, massage, cupping, assisted stretching and more.
When I’m not working I can usually be found in the pool or on a horse. I’m also qualified as both an open water and aquatic coach alongside an Equestrian coach and a bit of an expert at injuries caused by both!!
